Today I am thankful for my family! I happen to have the best family in the entire world. I am not pulling your leg or trying to bate an argument I am just stating a fact. They are the best. In the last two weeks we have enjoyed Tuesday’s with Grandma and Grandpa Lindsay {relaxing and lovely}, superhero birthday with a surprise guest…it’s a bird, it’s a plane no-it’s Winston? Yes, Winston our Superman and new addition to the family. We have had a crafty shmafty day making everything from hooded towels for the kiddies to frosted lanterns, blink necklaces, and DIY flip flops. I am working on pillow covers tomorrow with my beautiful cousin Bre and my lovely cousin Dani {superman’s soon to be wife}, my grandma is just about the most wonderful person I know, on par with my sisters, brother, and lovable mommy.

Okay I know I am biased but they are beautiful, kind, sweet, smart, super cool and just down right fantastic to be around. I have aunts and uncles I really look up to each for very different reasons but when you put all the pieces together it is quite a beautiful landscape to be a part of and I consider myself extremely lucky.

Well I started thinking of this because of the little invitations I worked on for my cousin Tiff. A momma I look up to, and a wonderful cousin and friend to have. Her and my beautiful cousin Mallory have baby boys that were born within a stones throw of each other. They are planning a Safari Birthday for the sweeties first birthday’s. I just finished the printables this week and wanted to share them with you, perfect for end of summer fun.

It began with some jungle animal doodles and then with a little color, here is a blank version just for your expedition {See the links below}.

Next we came up with the idea for Safari posters to put on stakes that the kids could seek out in the backyard bush with their trusty binoculars. There is a link for each of the animals on their own poster. Another idea we thought of was to print two copies and play a giant game of memory.

And last we decided, because many little little ones will be in attendance to make a placemat that is a maze and a color page. Just print on 11X17 and VOILA place mats for .16 cents a piece. The download that’s below is generic so you can fill in your cuties name.
